I have tried to make commissioning a pet portrait as easy as possible, as I love working with you to create your perfect piece of art.

 

My pet portraits are created in high quality oil and wax based coloured pencils and also pastel pencils. Some of the brands I use are Faber Castell, Unison, Pan Pastel and Caran Dache.

I use a mixture of papers from ClaireFontaine Pastelmat to Grafix Drafting Film, as I found both have beautiful surfaces to work on, and show off the colour and texture of the colour pencils, which is perfect for animal portraiture.

 

Every pet portrait is wrapped in acid free paper for delivery purposes, and drawn on acid free paper with lighfast media to ensure your art is of the highest quality and stands the test of time.

I ask for good quality, clear photographs, digital preferred (although happy to work with hard copies if this is all you have).

If the images provided are too poor in quality I may have to reject the project, as I need to ensure my work follows my style, is detailed and captures the personality of the pet I am drawing. I can on occasion work from poorer quality, but please be aware that the pet portrait will be less detailed.

I ask for a 50% deposit to secure your booking, with the balance to be paid on completion of the pet portrait.
